Hey! So Glad You're Here.
Hello, My name is Matthew Moore. My friends call me Matt. I attended community collage with a major in earth science and biology and spent two years as a certified athletic trainer for Virginia Orthopedics and Sports Medicine serving my former school's girl's varsity Basketball and Field Hockey teams. I later went to a trade school for auto mechanics and started a career as a dealership level automotive technician. I later followed my passion for motorcycles and got a job as a motorcycle assembly technician for a local motorcycle dealer. The owner of this facility also raced stock cars at our local speedway. So I also utilized my skills as an automotive technician moonlighting at his personal shop helping to build, improve, and maintain his late model stock car for him. Around 2008 I started having trouble with my health which eventually brought an end to my career as a technician. My body simply could no longer keep up with the physical demand. Instead of continuing the back breaking work of a technician, I transitioned into retail and commercial auto parts supply, which was a relativity easy transition given my background in the automotive world. Eventually due to issues within the company, myself and many other coworkers got our hours cut. This meant i now had some free time on my hands. Sitting at home, bored with nothing but my computer to entertain me, I started learning computers and going down the Linux rabbit hole. Downloading distro after distro and also meeting lots of interesting people within the Linux community. Eventually i learned how to manipulate and transform the software i was using into something of my own. I started contributing to projects such as Manjaro, Debian, and others. As my skills evolved and my knowledge grew, I became addicted to the wonderful world of software. Today that's what I do. I'm a freelance FOSS developer, website developer and occasional YouTuber. I am also the founder of Tech Café and the creator and maintainer of the Titan Linux project. I also have a freelance computer repair business called Matt's Computer Repair. I don't make nearly as much money doing this as I did as an automotive technician or parts specialist, but i enjoy the work i do. I guess that's what counts. Tech Café is my personal corner of the web, It serves as the central hub for all of my various software projects, social media services, and other various endeavors both from me and from my business partners. As time goes on i hope to be able to grow Tech Café and the Titan Linux project so i can continue to do what i love to do. I hope you stick around. There's a lot more to come. :)
